Males/Females

According to the love doctor, Terri Orbuch PhD, "For the wife, relationship talk is an aphrodisiac, but for men, it’s a turnoff!" He discovered alot of intersting facts about the differences in the sexes and how couples who discuss these differences and similiarities have a better relationship. For the most part women/wives dont need as many compliments from thier husbands to make them happy. They get enough attention from the people around them. Unlike the husbands who crave for attention especially from thier wives.
Thought this was an interesting article that kinda goes along with my quest. It makes me wonder if gender has anything to do with how my compliments are given or received?. I honestly believe men do need more attention, or at least thats what i understand from my experiences, and not only from thier wives, maybe thats a reason why couples get bored with each other and feel the need to cheat?!

My turn to receive a compliment.

So my day started out as my usual thursday, waking up at 4:45 am. :( Thinking what a drag it's going to be. but it quickly change after i got these picky costumers. I was trying to be as nice and as friendly as I could be, but these people had to change the whole menu! Me being a person with alot of patience, tried to make everything perfect, and it worked. they explained to be the details how how they wanted thier meal prepared, and how the last server they had need to take the eggs back three times before she got them right. I was a bit shocked of that, because their last server which was lisa usual does a pretty good job. but enough of the boring details, and on to the important part. I did everything perfect! thier food was amazing and they had great service. they were very impressed by my hospitality and said they would return soon and ask for me :) I was very happy that i made thier day, and it made my day better too. i felt more confident working.

So being nice can be tough sometimes. I been doing this complimenting people thing for 2 weeks now, and its not really changing me. I actually feel weird sometimes because people seem a little confused when i say something nice to them. i think its because people aren't used to this. Like when i compliment someone on thier appearance or clothing thier wearing, I get a confused "thank you's", but i wont give up, maybe it will get better.
